Avery and I took a trip to Dallas as a fun way for us to spend some time together and to celebrate Avery and Evie's THIRD b-day. Is it really possible for my baby to be THREE?! Anyway, it was a great trip but what a whirlwind! Avery and I had a jam packed 36 hours in Dallas and we enjoyed EVERY minute of it. For those of you we didn't get to see- we are sad and sorry but we'll do it again soon! For those of you we did see- we love you! It was SO good to be with such precious friends. Thanks for rearranging, organizing and spending time with us. Here is a quick run down with lots of pics from our girls getaway. We arrived on Thursday and after some rental car drama we headed North. I drove Avery by our old house which, sadly, she had no memory of and then it was off to play with the Bains! We enjoyed a quick visit and then went to meet some other sweet friends for lunch. Avery was thrilled to be reunited with her buddy, Morgan . I'm not sure how well either of them actually remembered playing together it didn't take long for them to fall into their old ways :-)!
After lunch we went to get Evelyn (Avery's cousin- 5 days her senior) and I got to take the girls to Build a Bear for their birthdays. It was SO FUN! I'm not sure who enjoyed it the most-I loved watching the girls together; they loved being together AND playing with their new "friends." After we were sure the new animals were clean and soft, we headed out for ice cream! Tiff kept Avery for me on Thursday evening and I went to dinner with some friends. Girls- it was SO good to see you!!! Friday morning was Evie's big birthday bash at the park. The party was great- Avery had much fun and also made the decision that she HAD to have a pinata at HER birthday party :-)Gage- my nephew and the ultimate big brother and older cousin! After the party we headed to the Hausz's for swimming. What a great place to hang out with friends!! Avery and Morgan swam so hard-they both went off the diving board and down the slide a million times. I really enjoyed just being outside chatting with the girls.Even the babies enjoyed playing together! Abby and Cameron outside- in the shade! Wyatt- the only guy on this day...and quite the ladies man he is. We had a couple of quick stops to make before we headed to the airport. First to say a very quick hello to Leslie and the boys. I wish I could have stayed longer, but at least I got a kiss from Samuel- it made my day! Then to meet a couple of dear friends from my Southwest days- Shelley, Darla and her little boy, Alex and Mandy! It was a quick visit but good none the less. Darla and her precious little guy, AlexAvery and her "aunt" Mandy I loved our trip! Mandy- thanks for getting us settled at the airport...holy cow, what a beating. Avery was a super star traveler and it was good to spend some time with her...it is really good to be back with Anna! We miss our friends so very much but we are truly glad to be home sweet home.
I'm so glad I got to see you and Avery! She is such a sweetheart and I can tell she's going to be just like her mama, which is a very good thing! :) I agree with Mandy - come back and stay longer!!
I married Brett, my college sweetheart on January 19, 2002. We have 2 little girls, Avery and Anna. Brett works as a financial analyst in the Tulsa area and I have the privilege of staying home full time with my girls.
