Happy Birthday to Avery...

Is it possible for Avery to be 3? Apparently so...and don't believe it, just ask her-she is quite excited to reach this milestone. I am amazed by my big girl. I am mostly loving this age- I love what she is learning and how easy it is to have a conversation with her. (I don't love her need to be talking ALL the time but you take the good with the bad, right?) I love the things she and I can now do together and I love that she can tell me (or ask..sometimes) what she needs and wants. I love not changing her diapers all the time. I guess its obvious- I'm smitten....
We had such a fun couple of days celebrating her. On her actual birthday we were home most of the day. We planted the Veggie tale plant we had given her and she really enjoyed that. We let her pick the location of choice for her birthday dinner and after MUCH deliberating, she chose Ted's- a fun Mexican restaurant. She was excited that Bob, Gigi and PaPa joined us (Grandma had Bunco!) and she really loved her b-day sopapillas!!!
For her party,I had planned on this super fun park party and then the forecast called for rain. I made the decision on Thursday evening to do the party at our house. Thanks to you guys who offered me party suggestions. We decided to decorate flower pots and plant a flower since the "theme" was flowers. It worked great- although it didn't take the kids as long as I expected. We did a pinata, cupcakes, presents and then the kids just played. 8 kids, 2-4 years old....crazy but fun!

Happy 3rd Birthday, Avery! I agree, how is that possible that she's already 3?? Fabulous idea about the party - so cute!!! Also, she is totally a Krieg - of course she would choose a Mexican place for her b-day dinner!
