my little pumpkins

We had a much needed low key weekend at our house. Saturday we picked out our pumpkins (during our morning trip to Wal-Mart), watched a lot of football and took the girls to the park on a gorgeous fall afternoon. Both of the girls LOVE to go to the park. Anna is going to be my little dare devil, she is already trying to do things that she is just not big enough to do. Avery has never been super brave- she'll do things she knows she can do but trying new things isn't something she is looking to do, wonder where she gets that?? It was nice to have a day with just our little family- we all get some rest, some play time and most importantly, some time together!

Anna and the leaves...she loves them
On Sunday afternoon our neighborhood started the Halloween week off with a costume parade around the pond for the kids. PaPa and Grandma Becky came by to see the girls in their costumes before we headed out- the girls were so happy to see them! We usually don't have a great turn out for neighborhood functions but yesterday there were princesses and power rangers everywhere! After the parade, the neighborhood playgroup met for crafts, snacks and playtime!

Anna even managed to snag a non candy trick or treat item! After the parade--the hat may be gone but she's still a cute Madeline!Making ghosts puppets at playgroup
